SBA Board Meeting Agenda   (11/6/16)

1. Call to Order

8:32am- Nikki

Roll Call- Nikki, Tyler, Sarah, Britt, Sylvia, Chris, Brandon, Nikki, Nav, Rachel-late

2. Approve minutes for 1/6/16 meeting

3. Approve Agenda for 11/13/16

4. Meet our new board members
   1. Chris Nielson
      1. 1E Rep, full time as leg aide in Capital, Evening Student
      2. General Meeting overview- Club Funding Requests,

      1. Not able to be here today
   3. Mentorship program mixer update
      1. Success!
      2. Good balance between upper class and 1L turnout
         1. 1Ls intermingling with upper class student
      3. Bylaw update (Rachel)
         1. Nikki to make non-substantive updates
         2. 1^st meeting of next semester to mass approve
         3. Any substantive changes to be made by the board
      4. Discuss Meetings for next semester
         1. Tyler- Friday always free, no schedule yet
         2. Sarah- Thursday evening possible
         3. Chris- M-Th class at 6:15pm, Thurs. and Mon. ends at 8:15, free Friday
         4. Navi- Thurs subject to change, but possible
         5. Rachel- Mon after 7:30, Tues after 8, Wed after 9:30, Thurs- free
         6. Aoibheann- Mon after 7:30, Tues open, Wed and Thurs after 8:15
         7. Britt- Mon- after 8:15, Tues after 6:15, Wed- after 5:30
         8. Sylvia- Mon free until April 3, Thurs evening and Friday evening
         9. Brandon- Tue night open, Wed and Thurs after 8:15, Fri- open
      5. Barrister Ball Update
         1. Meeting on Tuesday
         2. Tickets $40
         3. Sales starting this week online, $40 until Thurs Jan 12, up to $45 or $50 after Jan 12
         4. Hotel block of rooms in Hyatt- $134
         5. Lyft deals- Aoibheann to send Britt info
         6. At Galleria Library Building on I street
      6. Dean Search Committee Update
         1. Fri and Sat 10hr/day interviews
         2. Narrowed to 4
         3. 4 candidates- to come to campus to meet with students, faculty, provost, ect.
         4. SBA 4 Candidate Interviews- open to all students
            1. 1^st candidate, Nov 28 & 29
            2. 2^nd Candidate, Dec 7, 8, 9

10. Ronald Mc Donald House, Dec 3 event- open house (Chris)
    1. Christmas tree of cans, deadline Nov 31 to donate
    2. Goal 300 cans
    3. Flyer to post on FB for all class-
    4. Nikki to ask staff and professors
    5. Class updates- day students make announcements in class
