A graduate of San Francisco State University, Anna doesn’t remember a time that she didn’t want to be a lawyer. While at McGeorge, she has continued to pursue her love of community organizing as the President of the National Lawyer Guild in her second year. Presently, she is the Executive Chair of the Moot Court Society. She is primarily focused on immigration law (as she has clerked in a private immigration law office, volunteered at the McGeorge Immigration Fairs and worked in the McGeorge Immigration Clinic) and she also has experience in employment law from her summer as a SCBA Fellow at a private employment law firm. In her free time, Chelsea loves to spend time exploring Sacramento and enjoying the outdoors with family, friends and her puppy Toast.

Monika Troike

Monika Troike

Monika Troike grew up in Roseville and while she considers herself a Sacramento native, she developed a soft spot for the beach after attending UC San Diego for undergrad. She is currently a third-year day student. At McGeorge she is part of the Trial Advocacy Association and served her first two years on the Student Bar Association. She is currently interning at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office where she has been for the last year and (keeping fingers crossed) intends to use her law degree there after passing the bar.  In her free time she’ll fill her calendar with SF Giants games and concerts.

Lauryn Tully

Lauryn Tully

Lauryn Tully is a second year day student from Folsom, CA. Outside of law school Lauryn likes to play and watch sports. She participates in a recreational soccer league and has played in McGeorge’s intramural league. Lauryn also enjoys being outdoors, and going running with her two year old husky. Lauryn graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Sociology and an emphasis in Criminology. During her time at McGeorge she has interned with the Yolo County Public Defender’s Office and is serving as the current Justice for Phi Alpha Delta. After law school Lauryn hopes to use her law degree to work as a public defender.

IPSA5

Paolo Visante

Paolo Visante is a third year day student from Sacramento, CA. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from University of California, Davis. Currently, Paolo clerks at the California Department of Human Resources focusing on labor and employment law. He prefers to stay busy, and therefore he has held a clerk position since his 1L year. Paolo has been involved in the McGeorge Intellectual Property Student Association (IPSA) since his first year at McGeorge and is the current IPSA president. His primary interest is working with transaction licensing of copyright, trademark, and trade secrets as he pursues his intellectual property concentration at McGeorge. In his free time, Paolo likes to go to the gym, focus on nutrition and golf with friends.

Drew Weir

Drew Weir is a third year day student. Prior to law school he graduated from the California Maritime Academy and spent four years as a commercial deck officer. During his time at McGeorge, Drew has interned at the IXYS Corporation in Silicon Valley and the Sacramento Office of the Public Defender, Juvenile Division. Most recently, he spent the summer as the law clerk for the Roseville branch of Green & Hall, a civil litigation firm. For fun, Drew and his fiancée Jess climb at Pipeworks in midtown. Drew also enjoys cycling on the American River Trail and running at McKinley Park. Drew looks forward to his final year at McGeorge and hopes that incoming students take advantage of the Student Leaders Program because it is an invaluable opportunity to integrate the campus and help first years make the most of law school.
