SBA Meeting Minutes 9.13.15

Motion to approve minutes from August 23rd, 1st Nicole 2nd Britney

Anthony talked about what the minutes do and why they are taken.
SBA Headshots to be emailed to AJ by Sunday September 28th.
Start-up funds $200 can be requested. Everyone voted and everyone who applied got it! Woohoo Bahar is going to have Rebecca send emails to CSOs for start-ups
SBA BBQ – Britney’s meeting with Kev from Bon Appetite for BBQ on 9/23 – for day students 12-1, 9/24 5-6, but now its changed to the 23rd from 5-6. We need vegetarian options, music society is gonna jam for the BBQ. The volleyball net needs to be put up by the grounds people. Budget for the BBQ is $1,800 for 300.
SBA Committees – let co-chairs know what their budget is. CDO is $1,000 with option to increase.
Policies for event funding. JBC – the rule is 30 days. Chanel’s representative from JBC and they submitted $200 for a general meeting on August 24th, meeting was September 10th.
Woman’s Caucus presentation – applied for funding for live and silent auction, moved the venue to a smaller venue, hired a different caterer, all start-up money has been used up, benefits “My sister’s house”, went over cost breakdown for funding requests.
Motion to approve $2,500 funding request. 1st Courtney, Bahar 2nd – $2500 approved fully by the board. YAY!!!
Fall Spectacular is taking place on October 16th, Meghan leader of Lamda, should SBA perform?
