Proposed Amendments to 2012 SBA Bylaws

On August 17th, 2014 the SBA Board met to finalize proposed changes to our Bylaws.  The changes build off of the initial work the 2013-2014 SBA Board began in the Spring Semester but ultimately did not conclude before their term finished.

See the proposed changes here.

Under our currently governing Bylaws (see Article V below), these proposals are now subject to student comment.  The SBA Board has agreed to hold the public comment period for these proposals open until the incoming class has elected their First Year Day Representative and First Year Evening Representative so that they may have input on the conclusion of the process.

ARTICLE V AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS

The bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the SBA Board. A copy of the amendments must be made available to the student body for viewing for one (1) week to solicit public comments. If there are comments after one (1) week, the SBA must address the comments and vote again. Upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the SBA Board on a final version, the bylaws will be amended.
