Which activities and organizations are you involved with at McGeorge? I enjoyed participating in the McGeorge Women’s Caucus auction in the fall 2012 and attending lecture series different clubs provided, but I am not actively involved with an on campus club.
What is your favorite part about law school and/or McGeorge? I absolutely love the campus – it’s beautiful, clean, and empty of undergrads! I’m very grateful for our diligent security team and the dedicated staff who support all administrative functions. All of my first year professors were amazing and I look forward to taking additional classes from them in the future; their willingness to allay my first semester, first year fears and answer any substantive questions I had at the same time really made my first year easier.
What are your hobbies outside of law school? I love live music and seek out concerts anytime, anywhere! I am a law clerk with Legal Services of Northern California and really enjoy spending time in the non-profit legal arena. I am passionate about international and domestic politics and in my spare time read as much news as I can. I love good wine and spending time with my two younger sisters. I am a die hard SF Giants and 49er fan, and go to as many of the games I can.
What was the most memorable moment from your first year of law school? Finishing my first law school exams in December and realizing I was still alive (even if my brain was mush for a few weeks). Appreciating that the further on in the year it got, the less scary being called on by a professor was. Understanding the importance of making strong connections with law school classmates, because only a fellow law student can understand the insanity of law school.
