In it, I will be providing you with important information, key deadlines and words of wisdom. Remember, The Docket is your primary source for information, both academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular. So please read it thoroughly each and every week. I look forward to visiting with all of you this year. Don’t forget to wave to me when you walk past my office window. I’ll be looking for you.

Anonymous Exam ID Numbers  

Anonymous Exam ID numbers for the 2014-2015 Academic Year will be sent out the week of August 18th to your Pacific email.

Free Debitek Cards for Incoming Students

Welcome to Pacific McGeorge School of Law and to the McGeorge Law Library. Don’t forget to pick up your FREE $10 Debitek card before September 30. The library staff is pleased to provide you a Debitek card good for your first 100 pages using the library printers or copiers. Please stop by the Reserves & Circulation Desk located at the Library entry to pick up your free card.

Announcement of National Law and Technology Legal Writing Competition

The Richmond Journal of Law and Technology is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2014 Student Law and Technology Writing Competition. The first place prize is $1,500 and the second place prize is $700. The competition deadline is Friday, October 3, 2014. The submission guidelines and entry form will also be available on the Journal’s website at http://jolt.richmond.edu. Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite

The California State Bar Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite is Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 16-19, 2014. Scholarships are available through the State Bar. Applications are due Aug. 21.

Paying Job for Russian-speaking Student

Work Study Position in Admissions Office

The Admissions Office is looking for a work study student who will be able to assist in a variety of areas: Provide tours to prospective law students, answer phones, do data entry and clerical duties including scanning and uploading documents to files, stuffing envelopes, making folders, assist in processing applications, pack for recruiting events, update information in database, send emails to applicants, participate and assist the admissions office in on-campus (and limited off-campus) recruiting events, interact with prospects and recent admits about the law school and student life, help the Admissions Office prepare for and carry out registration and complete various special projects as assigned by the Director of Admissions or Assistant Dean of Admissions, Diversity Initiatives and Financial Aid. We are looking for someone who has good communication and problem solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize workload, strong organization skills, is punctual, enthusiastic and Professional. Students must sign confidentiality agreements.
