Students-
We strongly encourage you to solicit donations on your own from friends, family and local businesses. You will be given volunteer hours for the time you spend contacting donors, as well as time any time you spend picking up donations and submitting them to the PLSS board. As we near the day of the auction, the board will also host several phone banks during which students will be provided with a list of donors from previous years and asked to cold-call them to request donations for this year’s auction.
Please keep track of your volunteer hours! Hours can be submitted to Patrick Lewis(progressively or cumulatively) at p_lewis4@u.pacific.edu.
We recommend that you bring the formal PLSS Sponsorship Letter when you approach local businesses for donations. It includes PLSS’s Tax I.D. Number along with information about our organization and how the proceeds of the Live and Silent Auction are used. (Physical copies of the Solicitation Letter may also be found in the PLSS box on the second floor of the student center.)
In addition, you must fill out and return the PLSS Pledge Formwith each donation you receive in order to get credit for your volunteer hours!!
