The 2017-2018 PLSS Board

Dannica Molina, Executive Director

Dannica is a third-year law student at McGeorge. She received her B.S. in Administration of Criminal Justice from California State University East Bay in Hayward, CA. She is a member of the McGeorge Moot Court Honors Board, competing in two moot court competitions this year and the Vice President of the Black Law Student Association. Prior to her position as Executive Director, Dannica served as the President of PLSS. After completing her first year at McGeorge, Dannica began interning at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where she has accepted a post-Bar position.

Caitriona McOsker, Executive Board Member

Caitriona is originally from Los Angeles, CA.  She received her undergraduate degree from San Diego State University with the B.S. in Psychology.  In law school Caitriona is concentrating in Capitol Lawyering and has a strong interest in public policy and criminal law.  After completing her first year at McGeorge, Caitriona received the PLSS summer grant and interned with the San Diego City Attorney in the Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit.  After her second year she again received the grant and interned full time with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Child Abduction Unit.  In addition to her involvement with PLSS, Caitriona has also served as Secretary of the Criminal Law Society and was a member of the Public Policy Clinic.  On Caitriona’s downtime she likes to run, play sports, and spend as much time at the beach as possible.  Upon graduation Caitriona plans to pursue a career in criminal prosecution in Southern California.

My Tien Doan, Executive Board Member

My Tien is a third-year law student at McGeorge. She received her under B.A. in Communication Studies and Political Science from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She is on the McGeorge Moot Court Team and is the President of the Black Law Student Association. She has devoted much of her personal and professional life to social justice initiatives. With the help of the PLSS grant, she interned with California Rural Legal Assistance her 1L summer and Legal Services of Northern California her 2L summer. After law school, My Tien hopes to continue advocating for the rights of disadvantaged individuals and communities.

 

Alyssa Malinoski, Executive Board Member

Alyssa is a third-year law student here at McGeorge. She received her B.S. In Criminology, Forensic Behavioral Sciences at California State University, Fresno. In addition to being on the Executive Board of PLSS, she is also Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Association and has been a member of the Mock Trial team here at McGeorge for the past two years. Alyssa has interned at the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office since her 1L summer and is very excited to have accepted a post-bar position with Sacramento DA after she graduates this spring.

Keegan Doheney, Executive Board Member

Keegan is a third-year law student. He graduated from California State Channel Islands with a BA in Political Science and came directly to McGeorge. While in law school, Keegan has been working with both the Sacramento Public Defender’s Office and the Office of the Federal Defender. He has accepted a job in Colorado and will be practicing as a Colorado Deputy Public Defender after taking the bar this summer.

Kyler Rayden, President

Kyler is a second-year law student at McGeorge and received his B.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University. As long as he can remember, Kyler has always wanted to attend law school so he may one day fight for those who are voiceless, be it the disenfranchised or the environment. Last summer he worked at the Sacramento City Attorney’s Office as a law clerk on issues ranging from the California WaterFix, complex litigation, regulatory and code enforcement cases, and civil litigation. Besides attending law school and acting as President of PLSS, Kyler enjoys fishing, snowboarding, whitewater kayaking on the American River, and spending time with his dog Indy.


Bo de Lange, Vice President

Bo is a second year law student at McGeorge. He received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine. Bo worked at the Yolo County Public Defender’s Office last summer and over the fall. As a student, Bo serves as the Vice President of the PLSS lower Board and is passionate about his legal studies. Bo comes from immigrant parents from the Netherlands and is on track to be a first generation lawyer. As a former student athlete, Bo continues to enjoy playing sports. After law school, he would like to continue to serve the underserved.

Sarah Steimer, Secretary

Sarah is a second-year law student at McGeorge.  She received her B.A. in Sociology and History from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana and her M.A. in Sociology from the University of Connecticut.  She came to McGeorge to pursue a legal career advocating for women’s health care access and animal welfare after working in Obstetrics and Gynecology as a clinical research coordinator. She is the president of the McGeorge Chapter of If/When/How, formally Law Students for Reproductive Justice and the Secretary of the lower board of PLSS. She externed at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California this past fall and will be a law clerk at the United States Humane Society in Washington D.C. this summer. Sarah enjoys her volunteer work at Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary, exploring Northern California with her husband, and baseball.

Andrea Dominguez, Treasurer

Andrea is a second-year law student at McGeorge. She received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada Reno in Reno, NV.  This past summer and semester she worked at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.  Currently she is working at Children’s Lawcenter of California.  In addition to her internship, she is the Treasurer of the PLSS lower board, and the Event Coordinator of the McGeorge Criminal Law Society.  Andrea is a Nevada native, loves baseball and football, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two boys. After graduation she hopes to be working as a District Attorney.

 

Sara Fitzsimon, Community Outreach

Sara is a second-year day student at McGeorge School of Law, earning her concentration in Capital Lawyering. Last summer, Sara received the PLSS Summer Grant which enabled her to work for Legal Services of Northern California, assisting low-income clients with legal issues relating to health care. Before attending McGeorge, Sara worked for a nonprofit as an advocate for the elderly and those experiencing homelessness. Additionally, Sara is an alum of AmeriCorps VISTA, where she served as program developer for the Mayor. Sara has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia. Sara is a Sacramento native and absolutely adores living here. In her free time, Sara plays rugby for the McGeorge team, coaches lacrosse, hikes, paints, and spends time with her dog, Edith.

 

Rosy Delara, Public Relations

Rosy is a second-year law student at McGeorge. She is originally from Los Angeles and received her B.A in Political Science from California State University, Northridge. Rosy spent this past summer as a Diversity Fellow working at Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP.  In addition to her position as Public Relations Chair for the PLSS lower board, Rosy is the President of the Criminal Law Society (CLS) and the 2L Representative for the Student Bar Association (SBA). She also serves as the Chair of the Wellness Committee and sits on the Events and Coordination Committee (ECC). Rosy enjoys spending time with her dog and trying new restaurants. She is interested in litigation, either criminal litigation or civil and ultimately hopes to become a judge.
