How do I become a VITA volunteer? (3-steps)

- Pick up VITA materials from one of the officers; and
- Certify to become a VITA volunteer.
- Sign Up on TWEN (McGeorge Business & Tax Law Society) for dates you can volunteer!!!!

How long does it take to certify?
Honestly, it is different for everyone. We recommend allowing four hours just to be safe.
How much of a time commitment is volunteering?
We will have several 3-4 hour sessions. We ask that our volunteers serve for at least two of those sessions. You are allowed to pick your own schedule. There are many opportunities to serve, including weekends.
When do we begin?
- You can get your certification now.
- We will start preparing returns sometime in early March and stop around April 15th.
