March 27th is ABA Mental Health Day
The American Bar Association has designated March 27th as Mental Health Day. The Dave Nee Foundation, the ABA Law Student Division and Screening for Mental Health, Inc. will be sharing resources, information and tool kits that you can use on your law school campus to promote mental health awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Be sure to visit our webpage dedicated to March 27th. This provides a great opportunity to raise awareness and educate law students and their families about critical mental health issues. Law students across the country are reporting high levels of stress and even depression. In fact, by their 3rd year, 40% report feeling depressed. Screenings are a quick, confidential and informative first step toward treatment. Free, confidential screenings are available at lawstudentmentalhealthday.org.

One Justice Spring Bus Trips
What vacation site are you dreaming about this time of year? Are you longing to lounge on a sandy beach? Or craving some time outdoors?
It amazes us every year that so many law students and lawyers give up their spring break to travel with the Justice Bus Project to set up free legal clinics in isolated communities throughout California. In fact, so many of you are willing to volunteer your time – instead of taking time off – that March and April are now one of the busiest periods of the year for the Justice Bus Project! Questions: www.one-justice.org.
