Spring First Assignments & Booklists
By close of business, Tuesday, December 16th, all received Spring Semester first assignments, syllabi, notes from professors and general link to the booklist will be posted to the Faculty Support Office’s (FSO’s) Sakai site. Click here to log-in to Sakai, then from “My Sites” select “Faculty Support Office.” As we receive additional documents from professors, we post them, so please check back. Any syllabus or first assignment over 5 pages in length will also be copied for student pickup – come to the hallway bins outside of the FSO – look for the bright pink “Spring” bins. The Spring Semester book list is available on the Bookstore webpage.

Fall Returned Mid-Semester Assessments & Mid-Term Exams
Returned mid-semester assessments and mid-term exams from the Fall 2014 Semester will be removed from the FSO hallway bins on January 16th.

Deadline to complete the Health Insurance Waiver Process for the spring 2015 semester

The Health Insurance Waiver period for the spring semester opens on December 1, 2014 and the Waiver Deadline is January 23, 2015 – emails will be sent to all students from the Stockton Insurance Office in December with specific instructions on the waiver process.

If you completed the waiver process for the fall 2014 semester and it was approved by the Stockton Insurance Office, there is no need to waive health insurance coverage for spring.

If you missed the fall deadline to waive your health care coverage, or your insurance needs have changed since the fall, it is very important you read emails and follow through with instructions given by the Stockton Insurance Office by the given deadline; there are no exceptions to this process.

Seniors, it’s time to do your Moral Character Application!

Each state has its own character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to its bar. For a list of these requirements, visit the National Conference of Bar Examiners website at ncbex.org (look under Publications for the “Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission Requirements”).

For those who are planning to practice in California, please note the following:
Applicants must undergo a background check and receive a positive moral character determination. The process generally takes upwards of six months, and may take longer if there are areas of concern. Click here for detailed information about this process.

Please also note: A Moral Character Application is not considered complete without Live Scan fingerprinting. Fingerprints are used to determine whether the applicant has a prior criminal record. Your Live Scan Fingerprinting must be completed within 90 days of filing your moral character application. Live Scan Fingerprinting will be available on campus this spring at Senior Day the week after Spring Break, or alternatively, you can go to any live scan vendor to have your fingerprints done.
