Registration Now Open for the 2015 Pacific McGeorge Summer Abroad Programs!

Antigua/Guatemala

Courses: May 28 to June 20

Field Placement: June 22 to Aug. 7

The Inter-American Summer Program in Guatemala is a truly bilingual and inter-cultural approach to legal education. Substantive law classes are taught in Spanish or English, depending on student proficiency. The program also offers Spanish language classes and bilingual field placement. Learn more here.

Salzburg, Austria

Courses: July 5 to July 24

Pacific McGeorge’s long-standing program on International Legal Studies is a three-week program that offers international and comparative law courses in both the public and private law fields. Classes are held in the Law Faculty building at the University of Salzburg, located in a renovated 16th Century palace in the heart of Salzburg’s historic Old Town. Learn more here.

ExamSoft Now Supports Mac OS X 10.10. Yosemite

ExamSoft now supports Mac OS X 10.10.Yosemite for student users who have updated their SofTest to the most recent version – Mac, 11.0.446.94426.  If unsure of your current version of SofTest, review this helpful update piece from ExamSoft: SofTest Update and/or go see Dan Breuer in the Library.

Phi Alpha Delta 5th Annual Fall Food Drive

To help out those in need, we are participating in the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services Center’s SPIRIT OF GIVING DRIVE! Give to others just in time for the Sacramento Food Bank’s annual Turkey Distribution Day in late November, which feeds over 6,000 people each year.  Please help us out by donating any non-perishable items you can spare (canned foods, etc.), and new or slightly used clothing. In 1621 the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Native Americans shared a harvest feast which is considered the first Thanksgiving celebration. President Abraham Lincoln declared the Thanksgiving Day a national holiday in 1863 during the Civil War.

Volunteers Needed – Run to Feed that Hungry

Thanksgiving Day and preparation days!

In preparation of this year’s Run to Feed the Hungry, we will need crews of detail-oriented volunteers to help with Team packet assembly and bib tagging for this year’s participants. Volunteering for Run to Feed the Hungry is easy! Opportunities include Race Registration at REI during the week before Thanksgiving, as well as on Thanksgiving Day. You can sign up here.
