Do You Like to Work with High School Students? – Come learn more about our Street Law International Program
Come learn how you can positively impact the Sacramento community, increase your understanding of Bar-tested subjects, and take advantage of networking opportunities through the McGeorge Street Law International Program. This program gives McGeorge students the unique opportunity to teach law at the local high schools while receiving class credit. Not only will you teach the subject of law, but you will prepare your students to participate in a Mock Trial Competition presided over by area judges and held in Judge England’s courtroom at the Federal Courthouse for the Eastern District. Participating schools include McClatchy High, Sac High, Florin High, and a local continuation school. The information meeting will be on Tuesday, October 22 from 12:00 to 1:00 in Classroom B. Work-Study Positions

Trial Advocacy Program – Looking for 2 Work Study Students!
The Trial Advocacy Program, under the direction of Professor Leach, is seeking two students to assist Faculty Support Staff and program faculty to implement the program, specifically preparation for the students’ mock trial finals, scheduled from November 5-26, 2013. Duties will include: preparing juror and judge packets; assisting FSO with logistical planning; serving as on-site trial contact for jurors, judges, students, bailiffs, clerks, and faculty; preparing jurors for service on trial day; preparing correspondence, signage, spreadsheets, and mail merges; scheduling; and other duties as required. All students are encouraged to apply – hours and timing is negotiable. Requires commitment to work mock trial finals all day on the following Saturdays: November 9th 16th and 23rd. Excellent communication/Word/Excel skills desired but not required. 20 hours per a week at $10 per an hour. Questions: Professor Leach at (916) 739-7002

Work Study Position Open! – Campus Events & Production Office Assistance
Job responsibilities include supporting Campus Events & Production personnel with daily office duties. Duties will include but are not limited to assistance in monitoring department hotline & email, maintaining the campus calendaring & scheduling software, basic special event support (maintain event RSVP lists, produce nametags, follow-up phone calls & emails), production services support (maintain regular status reports on all projects, photo and marketing collateral archiving, social media), general data entry and research. Qualified applicants should possess excellent written & communication skills and a general knowledge of MS Office. Experience with design software is a plus. This position is allocated 15 hours per a week at $10. Flexible schedule. Open to all class years. The American Cancer Society’s Annual Making Strides Walk is a great opportunity to remember those lost to breast cancer, honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
