Health and Wellness

The Student Bar Association wishes to assist students with their Health and Wellness.  Law school is a very stressful time as we all know, and so we think it is really important that students take care of their bodies and minds.

Like a machine, we need certain things to survive.  Sure something like food and water is essential, but so is making an effort to establish and visit a primary care doctor, in addition to any specialists you may require.  Likewise, mental health is a concern of SBAs and it is our mission to help every student at McGeorge succeed in getting whatever kind of help they need.

SBA formed a sub-committee to tackle Health and Mental Health Services.  Your representatives are working hard to make sure students are finding the right resources and information available.

Health Services on Campus

The Silveracre Wellness Center has a Nurse Practitioner that is available to provide routine medical treatment to our students. The Nurse Practitioner provides treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations, well-woman care, and prescription medications. She will be available to see students from 9 am to 5pm every Thursday. Appointments can be scheduled through the Cowell Wellness Center on the Stockton campus at 209.946.2315.

In order to avail yourself of these services, you must first pay the Pacific student health fee of $120.00 per semester. Once the fee is paid, you are entitled to ongoing appointments with either our nurse practitioner and/or our psychological counselors while you are attending classes. You may also access any of the other health and counseling services offered at Cowell Wellness Center without additional charge. Information about these services is available at the Dean of Students Office and on the Student Life Portal under Cowell Wellness Center Health Services.
