Workout with the Women’s Caucus!

The MWC invites you to get out of the library and stretch your muscles! Every Monday evening, MWC hosts yoga and pilates workouts led by members Alyssa Carroll and Allison Cross. Workouts are appropriate for all fitness levels. Please wear comfortable clothes, hydrate throughout the day, and bring plenty of water and a yoga mat or towel to work out on.

Military Law Society Physical Training (PT)
Land Park @ 6:30a.m.
Every Wednesday morning, MLS meets for PT and, in honor of Wellness Week, we would like to invite the rest of the student body to join us. We run in a two mile loop trail around Land Park, which gives you the opportunity to do 2, 4, 6, etc. miles for your morning run. We have several different pace groups from a 6-7min mile pace, to a 10-12min mile pace, and even a walking pace if necessary, so all fitness levels are welcome. To join us, please meet in the Land Park golf course parking lot, located at the Sutterville Rd. and 17th St. entrance to the park.

Foods to Fuel Your Body for Exercise

Come learn what foods are best choices for fueling your body. You’ll get sports nutrition advice on how to best prepare yourself for exercise, whether you are training for a marathon or jogging around the neighborhood. We will also discuss best practices for recovery nutrition and which supplements really work. NutriCat will have recipe cards, meal ideas, and food samples for you to try.

Pacific’s Registered Dietitian, Alexandra Caspero will be on campus to see students for one-on-one nutrition counseling. Whether you are looking to improve your diet, gain more energy, lose or control your weight, or help prevent/manage chronic disease, nutrition services can help! Most insurance plans don’t cover nutrition services so be sure to make your appointment today to take advantage of this offer.
Cost: If you’ve already paid your health service access fee, you’re covered! Just log into MyHealth@Pacific to make your appointment. Didn’t pay the access fee? No problem! You can see the RD for a simple co-pay of $20 by calling Kim McCormick-Gruidl at 209-946-7480.

Environmental Law Society Hike
Arboretum Terrace Garden @ 2-4p.m.
Join ELS and the UC Davis Environmental Law Society for a relaxed daytime hike. The Arboretum offers a quiet refuge and a refreshing setting for recreation at any time of the year. Pets and children are welcome. Snacks will be served.
Directions to the Arboretum Terrace Garden and Lois Crowe Patio: 1-80 to the Richards Blvd. exit (toward downtown). Go under the underpass. Turn left on 1st Street. Turn left again at the first opportunity (D Street) and park in the lot behind the Davis Commons retail center. The Terrace is located next to Borders Books and Music at the northeast end of the center. There is two-hour free parking in the lot at the Davis Commons retail center.
